The Best time to go to Food Festivals in Toronto

The best time to attend Food Festivals in Toronto is obviously in the summer. Well, there is just a whole lot more to do.  I am sure most of you prefer to stuff your face all you want without having a thick Canada Goose Jacket getting your way. Not to mention the weather, when it’s really warm you can enjoy strolling around the boardwalks in Toronto especially during events like President’s choice 1000 tastes of  Toronto that are held at the Harbour Front on Lakeshore. If you haven't been there yet, it is alot of fun and a great chance to try all the foods from President's Choice. You must buy food tickets, so don't forget to line up. Also, look out for its parking, since events are always held at popular places I would suggest taking public transportation, it is much easier and less costly than most green P parking.

Yes it all sound's obvious, but trust me every year I attend one of these festivals people always end up forgetting at least one thing.

Be prepared; check the weather before food festivals that run a little later in the summer season like the Taste of the Danforth. For a few years in a row now, I have found myself caught in the rain eating my grilled calamari uncomfortably. Always separate your group to purchase food from multiple lines before feasting- otherwise you will be wasting your time. Last tip bring some wet naps and drinks, you will thank me later.

What tips do you have for us food festival goers?

The one event I will never miss in my list of Food Festivals Toronto!

Every year there are numerous events at  Food Festivals Toronto and I can never attend every single one. Many of the events are held in downtown Toronto in locations like the harbor front, Yonge & Dundas Square, Nathan Philips Square, Woodbine beach, Distillery District, and so forth. There are a few festivals that I would never miss and of course which includes my favorite hobby during the summer, eating outdoors.

Ribfest Toronto is the must go festival of the summer, with numerous stands selling their secret rib recipe. Every year, I always go from one stand to the next starting one end to the very last stand. Yes, it seems costly, but luckily they sell half racks. This why I always go with a group of friends or family, so that we can separate and cut down on waiting time and find a meeting place to enjoy the variety of ribs we have gathered together-the carnivores come out. Warning to vegetarians, this may not be a festival for you. Although, it’s all about the ribs, don’t forget about the Blooming Onion, Fried Mars Bars, Potato/Yam Fries, and of course the beloved Funnel Cake and Beaver tails.

What is your favorite stand at Ribfest Toronto?

Food Festivals Toronto. What you need to know about them.

Every year, the streets are flooded with food vendors that participate in any of the variety of food festivals in Toronto. Luckily we have quite a diverse population that brings in a diverse taste to all these festivals. With summer just around the corner, you are reading this blog at the perfect time!

If you are the sort of person that enjoys a quieter crowd, less waiting in line, or simply don’t have much time to spend, try going earlier as the festival is starting. This allows you to enjoy all the tastes in half the time. Personally I enjoy short lines (who doesn't right?), but I would trade it for a vibrant crowd where everyone is enjoying, and other festivities are happening on the side as well.

And if you’re the sort of person who enjoys a completely wild time, bring along some friends, and you’ll surely have a blast!

To the conservative crowd, I would highly recommend the Good Food & Drink Festival, the Vegetarian Food Festival, Halal Food festival, but by all means try to go to all festivals as no two are ever the same, and you will enjoy regardless. Those that are like me, and enjoy a good old time having a complete blast, are surely accustomed to the Ribfest. We enjoy all other food festivals as well, but the yearly Ribfest somehow manages to top them all!

Whether you’re a conservative person or a wild cat, Toronto welcomes all to have a good time, and enjoy some great food! Which food festivals in Toronto do you always go to?
